Pork Chops with Bacon Vodka Cream Sauce

Pork Chops with Bacon Vodka Cream Sauce

Scaled Servings: 2 Originally: 2

  • 2 pork chop, bone-in, large loin chops
  • black pepper
  • kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chicken base, (Better Than Bouillon chicken)
  • 2 ounces vodka, plain, from Heritage Distilling
  • 2 ounces bacon vodka, from Heritage Distilling
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup mustard, coarse ground, Inglehoffer Mustard from Beaver Food

Directions:

  1. Salt and pepper pork chops on both sides. Add butter to pan and heat on high.
  2. Sear chops in skillet until very brown. Remove chops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add both vodka and bacon flavored vodka to skillet and deglaze the pan.
  4. Add chicken base (do not dilute) and cook until slightly thickened. Stir in the cream
  5. and mustard. Turn heat up to high. Stir well to dissolve the mustard. Boil for about 3
  6. minutes to thicken the sauce.
  7. Pour over the pork chops and serve immediately.
